HISTORY of The School of Chinese Language in Kolkata India
After visiting China for the 1st time in 1978, our Chairman, Madan Saraff, fell in love with the country and its people.
The result is eminently visible.
Our President & Principal, Charisma Saraff, carries on with the foundation laid, at the same time creating new vistas and developments.
The School, inaugurated by His Excellency, the Consul General of China in 2008, is a non-profit endeavor, recommended by Consulate General of China; The School strives to add a micro-drop of understanding to the ocean of friendship which flows between the peoples of India & China & English-speaking countries;
It provides a platform to bring the people of the great, ancient and modern countries closer together with the power of Language and Understanding.
The School is also India’s Confucius Classroom, authorised to recommend its eligible Students for Scholarships; it develops and nurtures People-to-People Exchanges; it is authorized by Hanban & Chinese Testing International, Beijing, China to train Students and conduct Proficiency Exams (HSK) in Chinese. The School also propagates Higher Education in China in English as well as Chinese. Additionally, The School offers Authentic Interpretation, Translation and Authentication Services, supports career opportunities for CLEs and also promotes the usage of the English Language.
